Homicide Squad detectives are seeking information regarding an incident in Tuart Hill this morning, Tuesday 3 January 2023, in which one man died and two others were injured.
About 10:05am police were called to a residence on Royal Street in relation to a disturbance and concerns for the welfare of a person.
Upon arrival at the scene officers located a man aged in his 60s with serious injuries, and a man aged in his 20s was taken into custody. At this time, it is believed the two men are not known to each other.
Upon further investigation a man aged in his 50s was located deceased at a residence in nearby Lena Street.
It was established a third injured man – aged in his 40s – had already been taken for medical assistance by people known to him. It is believed he received his injuries at the Lena Street residence.
It is believed the man arrested at the Royal Street residence is known to the two men who were injured at the Lena Street residence.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident is ongoing.
