Two charged following series of burglaries in Melbourne's east

Manningham Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged two men following a series of alleged burglaries and theft of motor vehicles in Melbourne’s east today, Victoria Police say.

It is alleged a series of burglaries, thefts from motor vehicles and theft of motor vehicles occurred in the eastern suburbs and northern suburbs, including Donvale, Templestowe, Nunawading, Boronia, Deepdene, Coburg and Yarrambat.

A 36-year-old man was arrested today and charged with 57 offences including burglary, theft and deceptions related offences.

He appeared at the Ringwood Magistrates’ Court today and was remanded in custody.

A 31-year-old Doncaster man was also charged with theft of motor car, theft from motor car and deception offences.

He was bailed to appear at the Ringwood Magistrates’ Court on 2 November.
