Two men charged re Kelmscott armed robbery

Armadale Detectives have charged two men after an attempted armed robbery incident that occurred in Kelmscott on Friday, 2 April 2021.

It is alleged about 7.15am, the men, one armed with a firearm, were in a silver coloured 2005 Ford Falcon sedan that pulled up in front of a man in his 30s who was standing at the intersection of Banyard Avenue and Camillo Road.

It is alleged one of the men confronted the victim and threatened him with the firearm. A struggle ensued with the victim receiving a laceration to his head. On sighting a police car, the offenders fled.

A 44-year-old man and a 25-year-old man, both from Gosnells have been charged with Attempted Aggravated Armed Robbery. The 25-year-old was also charged with Possess Unlicensed Firearm. They are due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on 30 April 2021.

The investigation is ongoing and Armadale Detectives are appealing for anyone who saw or has dash-cam vision of the silver Ford Falcon with WA registration 1EWY015 in the Gosnells and Kelmscott areas between 7am and 10.15am on Friday, 2 April 2021 to come forward and to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
