Geneva, Switzerland – UNITAR, As the world becomes increasingly digitalized, with new disruptive technologies, practices, and actors appearing throughout the globe, it has become essential for institutions, governments, and companies to protect their cyber spaces from hackers and other forms of malicious elements.
In this regard, UNITAR is proud to partner with the National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to present The 2022 Cybersecurity Forum under the theme “Rethinking the Global Cyber Order” from 9-10 November 2022 at the Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh conference centre in Saudi Arabia.
The goal of the event is to inspire new perspectives, approaches, and actions while instituting a path forward for those most vulnerable in cyberspace.
In this year’s edition, the plenary sessions will revolve around five major themes affecting the future of cyber security. These topics include Cyber economics, Geo-cyber evolution, the Future of Cyber Work, No one left behind, and Disruption Frontier.
The forum will bring together international decision-makers and experts from over 100 countries. They include H.E. Dr Khalid Biyari (Assistant Minister of Defence for Executive Affairs, KSA Ministry of Defense), Dr Beyza Unal (Head of Science, Technology, and International Security Unit at UNODA), and Mr Göran Marby (President and CEO, ICANN), among others.
One of the guest speakers, Mr Alex Mejia (Director of the Division for People and Social Inclusion at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research) will be sharing his insights on the topics of “Attributes of a Tool-Builder” and “Whole of Society Cyber Awareness”.
