Unlawful use and break and enter offences, South East Queensland

Police have released vision following a number of break and enter offences and thefts from Brisbane to the Gold Coast overnight.

Early information is that a Blue 2020 M235I BWW sedan with Queensland registration 252 AR8 was stolen from a residence at Hawken Drive at St Lucia overnight.

This vehicle was used to force the doors of a closed convenience store at Waterworks Road at Ashgrove around 2.30am with property stolen from inside the premises.

Around 4.40am the same vehicle was reversed into the doors of a Burleigh Waters convenience store at the intersection of Bermuda Street and Christine Avenue. Substantial damage was caused to the doors to gain entry.

A 64-year-old female manager was inside at the time cleaning the shop and preparing it for opening when the break and enter occurred.

The offenders threatened the manager before stealing cigarettes and fleeing the scene in the stolen vehicle.

Investigators are seeking any witnesses to any of the incidents or who sees the stolen vehicle to contact police.
