UPDATE #2 - Arrests - Large Disturbances - Daly River

Northern Territory Police have arrested 4 males, aged between 18 and 24, in relation to recent violent disturbances in Daly River.

Additional police support has been deployed into the community since the violent disturbances began on Tuesday, which now includes local officers, crime detectives and members from the Territory Response Group and the Territory Safety Division.

Acting Superintendent Erica Gibson said "Constructive discussions with Traditional Owners, Elders and Community members, along with the additional police support have resulted in a decrease in community tensions. Those arrested yesterday and into last night are expected to be charged with weapons, property and violent conduct offences.

"Police would like to thank the community for their support and the vital information that was provided in regards to these incidents.
