UPDATE: Investigation into Lower Hutt homicide continues

As stated by Detective Senior Sergeant Martin Todd:

Hutt Valley Police investigating the death of Craig McKelvie in Lower Hutt on Friday night are continuing to follow various lines of inquiry.

Mr McKelvie was located at a Mason Avenue address with serious injuries, and later died in hospital.

As part of the ongoing homicide inquiry, Police believe Mr McKelvie was in the Johnsonville area on the evening of Friday 14 October, in the time before his death.

"How Mr McKelvie got to Moera, from Johnsonville, is now a focus of the investigation and Police are appealing to anyone to come forward who has knowledge of this, or is the person who took Mr McKelvie to Johnsonville."

Police continue the CCTV enquiries. From information received they have extended the times of interest for CCTV footage to between 8:45pm and 10:15pm on Friday in the Randwick Road area of Morea, and surrounding streets.
