Wairoa Police are continuing to make enquiries into the two firearms incidents targeted at Police at the weekend.
A scene examination has been completed at the two locations where the incidents occurred and the investigation team are continuing to speak with the community and make general enquiries.
In the first incident, shortly after 11pm on Saturday 19 October, a single shot was fired at the door of a Police officer's home in Wairoa.
The second incident occurred at around 9.25pm on Sunday 20 October when the Wairoa Police Station on Queen Street was shot at.
