Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III spoke by phone today with Spanish Minister of Defense Margarita Robles to discuss security assistance for Ukraine. The Secretary commended Spain for its contributions to security assistance for Ukraine as well as NATO's Eastern Flank. The leaders reiterated their ongoing support for additional assistance to Ukraine as Russian forces launch a renewed offensive in eastern Ukraine, and they agreed to stay in close touch.
