Venice Commission Meets For Its Plenary Session

th Plenary Sessionof the Venice Commission has started atScuolaGrande San Giovanni Evangelista di Venezia. On the agenda of the two-day session arenineopinions concerning eight countries (Georgia, Hungary, Kosovo*, North Macedonia, Peru, Slovak Republic, Spain and Ukraine), as well as areport and three amicus curiae briefs for the European Court of Human Rights and the Constitutional Court of Armenia.

The plenary session is closed to the public. These opinions and texts will be published on the Venice Commission website early the following week.


*All reference to Kosovo, whether to the territory, institutions or population shall be understood in full compliance with United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 and without prejudice to the status of Kosovo.
