Around 65,000 students for both the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) and Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) will get their final results today - showcasing the incredible achievements of school communities right across the state.
This year, 49,581 students will graduate with their VCE - a completion rate of 98 per cent, while another 15,163 students will graduate with their VCAL, 6 per cent more than last year.
VCE results and Australian Tertiary Admission Rankings (ATAR) are available for students who registered to access their results online via the joint results website from 7:00am today.
This year's results show that Victorian students have achieved success across all senior secondary pathways.
The excellence in VCE is highlighted by the 13,607 students who received a study score of 40 or more, and the 3350 who were awarded the VCE Baccalaureate.
A statement of literacy and numeracy attainment for students who sat Section A of the General Achievement Test (GAT) is also included in this year's results. Over 96 per cent met the standard in each of the domains - reading, writing, numeracy - with around 11 per cent demonstrating a level of excellence in each.
This shows Victoria's education system is delivering students the best pathways to get a start in their career or enrol in further study. The introduction of the VCE Vocational Major from next year will add even more choices for students, under one VCE.
The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) ensured students who were significantly affected by the floods were not disadvantaged by working directly with schools and applying Derived Examination Scores where they were needed.
Derived Examination Scores reflect as accurately as possible the level of achievement expected of individual students, based on all available assessment data gathered throughout the year, including GAT results.

Examinations
- 561 examination centres were available to students across the state - with the biggest at Bendigo Senior Secondary College (930 students) and smallest at Lake Bolac College, Cann River P-12 and Glenroy Private (4 students each)
- More than 82,000 students sat at least one VCE exam - written, performance or oral
- 261 mature age students sat an exam
- More than 42,600 students sat the English exam on 26 October
