Warrant issued for Bryce O'Donnell over Bourke Street incident

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate Bryce O'Donnell, known to frequent the Ballarat area.

The 20-year-old is wanted in relation to an incident in Bourke Street on 28 January, where a vehicle, believed to be driven by O'Donnell, evaded police.

At approximately 4.55pm on 28 January, police attempted to pull over a green Mitsubishi Lancer on Swanston Street in relation to a traffic incident.

The vehicle evaded police, and then travelled north on Swanston Street before turning down Bourke Street Mall, driving along the tram tracks before crashing into a bollard.

A male passenger ran on foot towards Elizabeth Street and the vehicle did a U-turn back along Bourke Street towards Swanston Street.

The vehicle was later found on Ashworth Street in Albert Park without registration plates.

O'Donnell is approximately 180cm tall, thin build, brown hair with blue eyes.

He is known to frequent the Ballarat area.

Investigators have released two images of O'Donnell in the hope someone may have information on his current whereabouts.

Police are urging O'Donnell to make contact and hand himself him.
