AUSTIN, Texas - Three deserving high school seniors received a virtual call like no other when Jenna Bush Hager, host of the TODAY Show, surprised them with a $48,000 Impact Scholarship to UT Austin.
The Impact Scholarship, which provides $12,000 per year to fund the cost of a UT Austin education, was created for students from across the state of Texas who are making an impact in their local communities.
Students are selected for the scholarship through a holistic review process that takes into account a student's leadership, academic success, financial need, perseverance and commitment to their schools and communities.
