We'll start off by taking a look at tomorrow's weather map. And we have this slow-moving high in the Bight that's going to be dominating the weather across the country, pushing away most of those showers and storms from the east coast, but also generating a dry south-easterly surge that will push up into the base of the Top End. A weak front will cross Tasmania and as well, this front out in the south-west is expected to slip away to the south.
So let's go around the country now, state-by-state, taking a closer look.
Starting with Queensland, we're expecting it to be a dry and mostly sunny day across much of the state, with just a few isolated showers developing during the afternoon about the very far south-east and a risk of a storm developing about the far southern exposed coast. A few showers also about the Cape York Peninsula, but with daytime temperatures in the low to mid 20s, but grading up to the low 30s as we head towards the tropics.
For Brisbane, a partly cloudy day with a slight chance of a shower and a top of 24 °C.
Down in New South Wales, we're also expecting it to be a generally dry and mostly sunny day, with just a few isolated showers about the coast and ranges, and the risk of a thunderstorm about the exposed northern coast. A few morning fog patches through southern areas with daytime temperatures in the low 20s about the coast, but heading towards the mid to high teens as we head further inland.
For Sydney, a partly cloudy day with a slight chance of a shower about the southern exposed coasts, a top of 20 °C, with Canberra morning fog patches clearing to a mostly sunny day and 16 °C.
Down in Victoria, we are expecting a few showers on and south of the Great Dividing Range, with some morning fog patches about the western districts. Otherwise, a partly cloudy day with dry conditions across the north.
For Melbourne, we're expecting it to be a partly cloudy day with a few showers that are most likely about the eastern suburbs and ranges, a top of 17 °C.
Down in Tasmania. A few showers about western and southern parts easing throughout the day. Daytime temperatures in the mid to high teens.
For Hobart, a partly cloudy day with a slight chance of a shower, a top of 15 °C.
Up towards South Australia, morning fog patches through southern and western parts and also a few showers about the south-east, mainly about the windward slopes and coasts.
For Adelaide, a partly cloudy day with a high chance of showers, most likely during the morning. A top of 20 °C.
Moving across to southern WA, a generally dry and mostly sunny day with a few morning fog patches through the south and a slight risk of a shower about the very far south-west coast.
For Perth, a mostly sunny day and a top of 25 °C.
Heading up to our tropical north, we've got showers across the Kimberley tending more widespread about that west coast.
But for the Territory, that dry south-easterly burst will reach the base of the Top End, with just the risk of a few showers about the eastern and northern coasts.
For Darwin, a mostly sunny day and a top of 33 °C.
So if you're wanting a more detailed forecast for your local area, then you can head to the Bureau's website, app or social media. Otherwise, we'll see you again next time. Bye for now.
