WEATHER UPDATE - 9am 01 March 2022

  • EMERGENCY WARNING for Major flooding still in place for Logan and Albert Rivers – with morning peak expected at 10.10am
  • Logan River – Major flood levels above those recorded in TC Debbie in 2017 likely along the lower Logan River.
  • Albert River – Major flooding continues along Albert River but below TC Debbie levels in 2017.
  • Around 60 roads are still closed across the Gold Coast due to flooding
  • Roads are being inspected for damage and safety before being opened
  • Crews will be out today assessing and repairing the damage caused by this severe weather event in the coming days.
  • Stay away from waterways, flooded areas and storm channels – they're not a place to play. There's debris, submerged objects and dangerous currents.
