Western Australia coronovirus update as at 3 January

The Department of Health has today reported one new case of COVID-19 in Western Australia, with the State's total now standing at 867.

The new case is a male in his 30s. He is in hotel quarantine.

WA Health is monitoring 19 active cases and 839 people have recovered from the virus in WA.

Yesterday 1,948 people presented to WA COVID clinics – 1,913 were assessed and 1,911 were swabbed.

There have been 626,447 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those tested, 100,919 were from regional WA.
