Western Australian fans can be part of the biggest cricket rivalry this summer, with general public tickets now on sale for the opening test of the 2025-26 Men's Ashes series between Australia and England.
The West Test will kick off another massive Australian summer of cricket, following record-breaking international crowds last season for the test match between Australia and India.
The fun will continue outside Perth Stadium, with The West Fest again ready to activate the city with a blockbuster program of live sport, music, food, fan and cultural experiences, creating an electric summer atmosphere.
Fans attending Day 2 on Saturday, 22 November will also be able to head over the Matagarup Bridge after play concludes to see the Perth Scorcher's WBBL side light up the redeveloped Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) Ground, including the pitch-side 50-metre pool and waterslides.
The West Test and Fest will form part of a huge weekend of events in Perth, with the free WA Day Festival also taking place on Days 2 and 3 of the Ashes on Saturday, 22 and Sunday, 23 November at the Burswood Park.
The family-friendly festival will include live music, food trucks, free carnival rides, fun activations and roving entertainment along with evening fireworks.
The events all form part of the WA Government's events strategy which seeks to add further value to major events, with surrounding activities to drive higher out-of-state visitor attendance, increase economic impact, enhance the visitor experience, foster community vibrancy and create a diverse calendar of events that is always on, year-round.
The West Fest is supported by the WA Government, in partnership with Cricket Australia and WA Cricket.
Fans are encouraged to check on sale times and act fast to secure their seats. More information can be found at www.cricket.com.au/tickets .
As stated by Tourism Minister Reece Whitby:
"The Ashes is yet another example of our event strategy at work, delivering a year-round calendar of diverse events for locals and visitors to experience.
"Hosting cricket's biggest rivalry between Australia and England presents an enormous opportunity for tourism in WA, particularly given the UK remains our biggest visitor market.
"Another big focus for us is building an amazing atmosphere of periphery events and activations to further add to the vibrancy and give visitors an unforgettable experience. I have no doubt The West Fest will do exactly that."
As stated by Sport and Recreation Minister Rita Saffioti:
"Western Australia is again the place to be for cricket this summer and it doesn't get much bigger than hosting the opening test match of the Men's Ashes series.
"Our government is proud to throw our support behind The West Fest so we can ensure that, as the first stop for cricket fans and the Barmy Army, we start the series on a high that will set the tone for an incredible summer of cricket.
"Of course, the fun won't stop there either and fans at the cricket can continue on after play finishes to enjoy the free WA Day Festival at the Burswood Park over the weekend, plus WBBL action at the redeveloped WACA Ground on the Saturday night."
