The annual Everlasting Kings Park Festival returns to celebrate the extraordinary diversity and beauty of Western Australia's famous wildflowers.
Bringing thousands of native blooms, immersive experiences, and unique stories to Kings Park and Botanic Garden from 18 September to 4 October 2026, the festival is one of the highlights of the year.
With dozens of free workshops, guided walks, talks, and family-friendly activities, it invites visitors of all ages to discover the beauty, diversity and cultural significance of Western Australia's unique flora. From the Everlasting Nature Play Day and wellness experiences, to expert speakers and science showcases, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
This year's theme, Stay Wild, invites everyone to reconnect with nature and discover the remarkable biodiversity that makes the great State one of the world's most botanically diverse regions.
Visitors can explore more than 3,000 species of Western Australian plants throughout the Western Australian Botanic Garden, while also learning about the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority's vital role in conservation, scientific research, education, and community engagement.
As part of the Western Australian Botanic Garden's 60th anniversary celebrations and finale to the festival, audiences will also be invited to experience the immersive Moortabiny (Becoming Family). This breathtaking fusion of storytelling, sound, light, and drone choreography will bring to life an unmissable experience over three nights that connects Country, community, and the natural world.

Special Event: Moortabiny (Becoming Family), presented during the final three days of the festival as part of the Western Australian Botanic Garden's 60th anniversary celebrations.
As stated by the Environment Minister Matthew Swinbourn:

"The Everlasting festival is a great opportunity for families and the community to enjoy free and low-cost activities while discovering and supporting the conservation efforts of the Western Australian Botanic Garden.
"Visitors won't want to miss the debut of Moortabiny, a truly immersive drone, sound, and storytelling experience that offers a spectacular new way to connect with nature, culture, and community."
