Wiley and Universidad Nacional Autnoma de Mxico Sign Open Access Agreement

May 17, 2022 - Hoboken, NJ - Global research and education leader Wiley today announced a new three-year agreement with Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), one of the most influential and well-recognized institutions in Latin America.

This agreement, which marks Wiley's first in Latin America, positions UNAM as the leader and pioneer in the development of open access research, allowing its researchers to publish most if not all of its articles open access across Wiley's portfolio of hybrid journals.

The researchers of UNAM contribute substantially to the development of knowledge. It is in the interest of the university to expand the impact of their work, allowing open and universal access to the research articles published by its authors. UNAM stands out as a determined promoter of open access, which is why it participates in this alliance with Wiley.

Wiley has open access agreements with more than 40 partners globally, including recent agreements with COUPERIN in France, SANLiC in South African, the National Research Council of Science & Technology in the Republic of Korea, and the University of California in the United States to deliver more open access research and facilitate an open future.
