Woman dies after being hit by vehicle at Hurstville

A woman has died after being struck by a vehicle at Hurstville.

Just before 10.30am today (Thursday 14 January 2021), emergency services were called to Rose Street after reports a woman had been hit by a 4WD.

The woman died at the scene. She is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged in her 60s.

The driver of the vehicle, a 28-year-old man, wasn't injured but was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from St George Police Area Command established a crime scene and the Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
