Wounding charge, Mount Louisa

Queensland Police have charged a man following an alleged wounding at Mount Louisa on Saturday afternoon, January 20.

It will be alleged around 4:35pm, emergency services were called to a Banfield Drive business following reports of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers located a 30-year-old Yabulu man who had sustained wounds to his torso.

He was transported in a serious but stable condition to the Townville University Hospital.

A 32-year-old Aiktenvale man was taken into custody nearby.

He has been charged with one count of unlawful wounding, attempted enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence and possessing dangerous drugs.

He is due to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court on today, January 22.
