According to the Times Higher Eduction (THE) World University Rankings, Wageningen University & Research is the best Dutch university. The prestigious international ranking, lists WUR at place 53.
The Times Higher Education World Universities Ranking is considered a leading ranking and includes over 1500 universities from across the globe. The THE ranks world-renowned universities in five categories that each carry a different weight in the total: education (30%), research (30%) citations (30%), international perspective (7.5%) and industry income (2.5%).
Besides WUR at 53, the Netherlands is represented in the top 100 by Amsterdam University (65), Utrecht University (69), Leiden University (71), Erasmus University Rotterdam (72), Delft University (75) and Groningen University (80).
