Thousands of WWE fans will fill RAC Arena for WWE Crown Jewel: Perthtonight, the headline event of an action-packed weekend marking Hollywood superstar John Cena's final Australian WWE appearance.
Proudly supported by the Cook Government, through Tourism WA, WWE Crown Jewel: Perthis expected to inject millions into the local economy, boosting local tourism, hospitality and accommodation businesses, while also bringing thousands of out-of-state visitors to WA.
The sports entertainment spectacle began yesterday, with a kick-off event in Forrest Place followed by the sold-out Friday Night SmackDown at RAC Arena, which saw thousands of fans cheer on their favourite WWE superstars.
Joining John Cena for tonight's Crown Jewelevent is major rival AJ Styles, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, WWE Women's World Champion Stephanie Vaquer and many more.
WWE Superstars arrived in Perth on Wednesday ahead of the event to explore the State and its iconic experiences, including swimming with dolphins in Rockingham and sailing to Rottnest Island.
These adventures will feature across the icons' massive social media channels, promoting WA to millions of viewers worldwide.
The celebrations extend beyond RAC Arena, with WWE activations occurring across the city to enhance the fan experience, including:
- A WWE pop-up superstore offering exclusive merchandise in Murray Street Mall;
- A 1km custom lighting trail that guides fans from the merchandise superstore through Yagan Square to RAC Arena; and
- The Netflix Sports Club, taking over Northbridge Brewing Company and open to the public from midday to midnight Saturday and Sunday.
The weekend comes after the success of WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth in February 2024, which attracted more than 18,200 out-of-state visitors to WA and generated $36.2 million for the State's economy.
The blockbuster event also set records as the most-attended, most-watched and highest-grossing Elimination Chamber event in WWE history.
Attracting major events like WWE is a key part of the WA Government's strategy to diversify the State's economy, generate jobs and grow the tourism sector.
