Young pedestrian dies following collision in Doncaster

A young pedestrian has died following a collision with a car in Doncaster on Wednesday 28 November, Victoria Police say.

It is believed the eight-year-old girl was struck by a car as she attempted to cross Victoria Street, north of George Street about 630pm.

The driver of the vehicle, a 64-year-old Doncaster East woman, stopped and rendered assistance at the scene.

The child was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries but later died.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the pedestrian prior to the crash, or anyone who may have dash cam footage.
