Sunraysia residents have an opportunity to help shape the region's response to the climate emergency by contributing to the Community Climate Emergency Plan this month.

A partnership between Mildura Rural City Council and the Climate Emergency Community Advisory Group, the plan will feature a range of community-owned and activated climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies.

Councillor for Environment and Sustainability Jason Modica said two consultation workshops would be held this month, as well as a survey, to capture the community's ideas and priorities.

"This is a great opportunity to ensure our region's Community Climate Change Emergency Plan reflects the priorities of as many individuals and groups as possible across a broad range of topics, including business/industry, farming, natural environment, built/urban environment, waste, education and health," Cr Modica said.
