The National Youth STEM Summit supports undergraduate students, recent graduates and early career professionals exploring their next steps in science, technology, engineering and maths.
We partnered with the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) to run the event, now in its third year. Funding through the Inspiring Australia Science Engagement Program ensures NYSF continues to run programs and support young Australians in their STEM journeys.
The event brought together young innovators, educators, and industry leaders to explore emerging technologies and inspire future careers in STEM.
We hosted a stall at the summit, talking with attendees about Australia's quantum ecosystem and our National Quantum Strategy.
One of the highlights was the public screening of the International Year of Quantum video. It features stars from Australia's quantum ecosystem talking about the transformative potential of quantum technologies.
The United Nations proclaimed 2025 as the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ). IYQ celebrates 100 years of quantum mechanics. It aims to raise public awareness of the impact of quantum science on all aspects of life.
Participation in IYQ is open to everyone. People, universities, research institutions, scientific societies, governments and industry are celebrating IYQ by running events around the world.
