2025 World Angus Forum: Beef For Better Planet In Brisbane

Capping off an eight-day journey of Australian Angus excellence, the 2025 Neogen World Angus Forum is set to unite global producers and providers in Brisbane for a two-day event on 7–8 May.

Exploring the theme: Beef for a Better Planet

The 2025 Forum, which MLA is co-sponsoring, will explore the future of sustainable beef production under the theme "Beef for a Better Planet."

Speakers and panellists will address technology, genetics, innovation and carbon neutrality in the beef industry. Meanwhile, trade displays – which is where you will be able to find the MLA team – will showcase the latest advancements and open new doors for collaboration and discovery.

A speaker lineup that delivers

The Forum's lineup of keynote and guest speakers promises to inspire and inform. Leading the charge is John Eales AM, Australia's most successful rugby captain, and now a respected business leader and author.

He'll be joined by an impressive roster of thought leaders, including:

  • Simon Corah
  • Dr. Anneline Padayachee
  • Michael McQueen
  • Simon Quilty.

In addition to keynote addresses, attendees will hear from industry leaders and researchers – like MLA Managing Director Michael Crowley – in a mix of individual presentations and panel discussions.

Connect with industry peers

The Forum isn't just about learning—it's also about connecting. Several social events are planned to help attendees build relationships and network with like-minded individuals.

  • The festivities begin with a Welcome Function on 6 May at the iconic Norman Hotel – a chance to relax, reconnect and meet new faces before the main event.
  • On 7 May, the Neogen Gala Dinner at The Star Brisbane offers a chance to dress up and enjoy a night of celebration and conversation.

These social highlights will provide plenty of opportunities to engage with producers, researchers and industry professionals from around the globe.
