$30,000 equipment recovered, man charged after Illabo break and enter, NSW

A man is due in Wagga Wagga Local Court and $30,000 of equipment has been recovered by police investigating a break and enter at Illabo, 16km east of Junee, last Friday, NSW Police say.

Police from Riverina Police District have been investigating the break and enter on the business last Friday night (31 August 2018), when multiple items including tools, power tools, tool boxes, electrical equipment, lawn mowers and lighting were allegedly stolen.

Following inquiries, Junee police established a crime scene at a home in Urana Street, Turvey Park, about 8pm Monday (3 September 2018).

About 30 minutes later, police went to a home in Jack Avenue, Mount Austin, and arrested a 47-year-old man. The man was taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station where he was charged with break, enter and steal and malicious damage.

He has been bail refused to appear before Wagga Wagga Local Court today (Tuesday 4 September 2018).

At 10.50pm, police conducted a search of the Turvey Park property during which items to the value of $30,000 were recovered.
