- $7.62 million project to deliver 15 new social homes in Perth's north

The Cook Labor Government has contracted 15 new social housing dwellings in the northern Perth suburb of Warwick.
The new $7.62 million development will comprise six one-bedroom andnine two-bedroom apartments designed to provide secure and well-located homes for people in need.
The Warwick site is located in close proximity to key amenities, including rail, bus and the Mitchell Freeway, as well as shopping, employment, schools and recreational facilities.
The project has been designed by Proekt Architecture and will be built by Thomas Building, who were appointed through the State Government's Housing Construction and Refurbishment Builders Panel.
Construction is scheduled to commence shortlyandpractical completion anticipated in the first quarter of 2027.
This project is part of the government's investment in social housing, helping to ensure all Western Australians have a secure home.
Since 2021, the government has invested a record $5.8 billion investment in housing and homelessness measures, which has delivered more than 3,500 social homes across Western Australia.
As stated by Housing and Works Minister John Carey:
"This project is another important step in our government's commitment to increasing the supply of social housing in the northern suburbs.
"This site was selected for its strong amenity and accessibility, with public transport, schools, shopping and open space all within easy reach.
"We've already added more than 3,500 social homes across WA since our record investment, with many more under contract and construction."
