Penn State's AI and the Economy Initiative brings together policymakers, practitioners and researchers from across the United States to exchange knowledge about the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the economy and society. The initiative will host its second workshop May 18-19 at University Park. Activities will take place from 8 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. on May 18, and from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on May 19.
Among the presenters are leaders of the University's AI transformation, including Fotis Sotiropoulos, Penn State's executive vice president and provost, and Mehrdad Mahdavi, Penn State Hartz Family Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering and director of the Penn State AI Hub in the Institute for Computational and Data Sciences.
