Armed robbery investigation, Kallangur

Detectives from Petrie Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating an armed robbery at a restaurant in Kallangur overnight.

At 9.27pm, a man entered the restaurant on Anzac Avenue, armed with a syringe and demanded money from a female employee.

The employee placed money from the cash register in a bag and handed this to the man.

After grabbing the bag, the man exited the business through the front door and left on foot, crossing Anzac Avenue and disappearing out of sight.

Detectives are appealing for any witnesses or dash cam footage captured between 9.15pm and 9.45pm in the area of Brewer Street and Anzac Avenue, Kallangur, to come forward.
