Assault and robbery at skate park, teens and men arrested in Nowra

Three men and four teenagers have been arrested following an incident at a skate park at Nowra yesterday, NSW Police say.

Police were told about 6.45pm today, a number of teens at the park were allegedly assaulted and robbed at knifepoint by another group.

A skateboard, portable music speakers and a bicycle were allegedly stolen and two teens required hospital treatment for minor injuries.

Police from Shoalhaven Local Area Command attended and patrolled the area for the group.

A short time later, officers located three men and four teens on Bolong Road, Bomaderry.

The group were arrested and several items allegedly stolen were located.

They were all taken to Nowra Police Station where following inquiries, an 18-year-old man was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray. He was bail refused to appear at Nowra Local Court tomorrow.

A 16-year-old teen was charged with goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen. He was bail refused to appear at a children’s court tomorrow.

The 17-year-old teen was charged with affray, assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of others x2 and common assault. He was granted conditional bail to appear on Thursday 20 April 2017.

An 18-year-old man and two teens aged 15 and 16 were released pending further inquiries.

Investigations are continuing.
