AUSVEG is aware of the consumer level recall of some spinach products sold through Costco in New South Wales, Victoria and the ACT.
According to Food Standards Australian New Zealand recall notice, the recalled products are limited to 350g and 1kg Riviera Farms branded baby spinach products sold through Costco in New South Wales, Victoria and the ACT with use by dates of 16 December 2022 up to and including 28 December 2022.
Australian consumers can have confidence in all other spinach and leafy salad products that are currently available for sale on retail shelves, which are unaffected by the recall.
Anyone in possession of the recalled product is urged to follow NSW Health's advice and dispose of it, and for those with concerns for their health to follow the health advice and seek medical attention. AUSVEG will continue to liaise with all relevant authorities and key stakeholders as the issue unfolds.
