Following the overwhelming success of the 2025 event, which attracted more than 4,000 people, this year's Carols in the Park promises an even bigger and brighter celebration for local families, friends and even visitors from across the region.
Running from 5pm to 9.30pm, the free community event will once again transform Bicentennial Park into a festive wonderland filled with Christmas music, entertainment, food and activities for all ages.
"We're excited to bring Carols in the Park back for another year and make it even bigger for our community," Tamworth Regional Council Events Officer Natasha Little said.
"From 5pm to 7pm, attendees can enjoy pre-show entertainment, explore the food offerings and secure their spot on the lawn before the main Carols program begins at 7pm. We've also added a few extra surprises this year, making it a truly magical evening for everyone."
Performing all the favourite carols will be another all-star line-up of local and national entertainment talent, including Ashleigh Dallas, Brad Gill, Brooke Gillett, Buddy Knox, Cara Bastian, Christopher Whallery, Hester Fraser, Peter Ross, Roz Pappalardo, Ryan Sampson and Sally Ann Whitten, alongside a 30 piece orchestra, local choirs and dance groups.
Santa and Mrs Claus will make a special appearance once again, arriving in spectacular fashion aboard a sleigh led by real-life reindeer. Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the reindeer and snap a festive photo following their arrival, sure to be a highlight for young and old alike.
Around the grounds, attendees can indulge in savoury favourites from Mrs Claus' Kitchen, sweet treats from Candy Cane Lane, and browse Santa's Workshop for Christmas gift inspiration.
Adding to the festive excitement, Tamworth Regional Council will also launch its 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway in the lead-up to the event. Generous local businesses from across the Tamworth region have donated vouchers, gift cards and prizes to be won over the 12-day campaign.
Each prize will include a Steggles shop voucher, generously donated by Carols in the Park major naming sponsor, Baiada Poultry. The giveaway celebrates the generosity and community spirit of local businesses during the festive season, with residents encouraged to follow Tamworth Regional Council's social media channels for daily prize announcements and entry details.
Baiada returns as the event's major naming sponsor and has once again selected Ronald McDonald House and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service as the event's official charities. Attendees can show their support by purchasing a battery-operated candle or enjoying a delicious sausage sizzle, with proceeds helping these important organisations continue their vital work.
"For more than 60 years, Baiada has been proud to be part of the Tamworth community which is why supporting the people and families who live, and work here remains incredibly important to us.
We're delighted to return as the naming sponsor of Baiada Carols in the Park in 2026, bringing the community together to celebrate the festive season while giving back to a community that has played such a special part of our story," said Yash Gandhi, Head of Marketing at Baiada Poultry."
