Blinken's Dialogue with Qatari PM, Foreign Affairs Minister Al Thani 23 November

Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke with Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani today about the conflict in Gaza. The Secretary thanked Prime Minister Al Thani for Qatar's critical efforts to help broker the deal to secure the release of at least fifty hostages-including Americans-taken by the terrorist group Hamas during its brutal assault against Israel. They discussed ongoing efforts to obtain the release of the remaining hostages and to urgently increase the flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza. Secretary Blinken and Prime Minister Al Thani also discussed the importance of ensuring the safe passage of foreign nationals out of Gaza. Secretary Blinken stressed that the United States remains committed to advancing a two-state solution for Israelis and Palestinians, and reaffirmed the importance of the strategic partnership between the United States and Qatar.
