Police will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner after a body was located in the water.
Just after 4am today (Monday 6 May 2024) emergency services received reports a person had gone overboard off a ship 10 nautical miles off Sydney Heads.
Police and other emergency services launched a search to locate the person.
About 10.30am, officers attached to Police Marine Area Command located the body of a man and it was retrieved.
Police will launch an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
