The Crisafulli Government has supported more than 6,100 jobs and driven $6.18 billion in export and investment activity across Queensland after embarking on an ambitious trade reset following the former Labor Government's failed approach.

The first two years of the Crisafulli Government's refreshed trade agenda has delivered a marked improvement on the final two years of the former Labor Government's decade of decline, with a $1.85 billion increase in trade and investment outcomes and an increase of more than 2,900 jobs created.

Regional Queensland has benefited greatly from the State's trade reset, with Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ) helping to facilitate $2.46 billion in regional export and investment outcomes and supporting the creation of 1,426 jobs in regional communities under the Crisafulli Government.

Small and family businesses have been given a leg up to pursue their international dreams through the launch of the Queensland Exporter Academy and a regional small business exporter roadshow, while the Crisafulli Government's Market Accelerator Program continues to support exporters taking the next step into international markets.

Eight targeted trade and investment strategies have been delivered so far to identify and maximise opportunities in the United States, China, India, the EU and United Kingdom, Southeast Asia, Latin America and Queensland's neighbours in the Pacific.

It's further proof the Crisafulli Government is delivering better services through a stronger economy by backing Queensland businesses to succeed on the international stage and rebuilding relationships with key trading partners which were tarnished by the former Labor Government.

Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training Ros Bates said the Crisafulli Government's open for business approach was delivering huge benefits across Queensland.

"Behind these figures are Queensland businesses winning new customers, investors backing Queensland projects and thousands of new Queensland jobs being generated," Minister Bates said.

"The Crisafulli Government is backing Queensland businesses to succeed after Labor's decade of decline saw opportunities go begging, and when you do that the benefits flow directly into communities right around the State.

"We are helping Queensland businesses build relationships across established and emerging markets, so they can reach more customers and seize new opportunities.

"Small and family businesses have an important place in that effort, and we will keep championing Queensland's capabilities internationally to help them succeed.

"We've seen incredible results from our trade reset already, and they've been achieved during a period of global trade disruption which is a testament to the strength and resilience of our local businesses."

Granddad Jack's Craft Distillery on the Gold Coast started out as a family passion project to honour the memory of David "Granddad Jack" Goulding and now exports all over the world.

CEO David Ridden said the company's international success is testament to Trade and Investment Queensland's ability to help local businesses reach the world stage.

"We're in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, and those are markets we wouldn't have if we hadn't had that support and that foundation from TIQ."
