Body of missing teen located at Wollongong

The body of a teen missing from Wollongong has been located.

The 16-year-old boy was reported missing last night (Wednesday 2 June 2021), after failing to return home after school.

Officers attached to Wollongong Police District commenced an investigation into his whereabouts, with the boy's body located in bushland at Mount Keira about 1.20pm today (Thursday 3 June 2021).

His death is not being treated as suspicious.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
