Book In For Science Week At Orange Regional Museum

Orange Council

Primary school teachers across the region are invited to book their class in now for Science at the Museum. It's a fun, hands-on education program running this August as part of National Science Week.

Held at Orange Regional Museum, the 90-minute program is free and open to school groups from Year 2 to Year 6.

This year's sessions include a facilitated visit to On the Move, an interactive exhibition exploring the world of transport, and a curriculum-linked science workshop on energy and forces.

Museum Public Programs Officer Sally MacLennan said the program offers a unique way to bring science to life outside the classroom.

"We have so much fun connecting with science through this free education program each year," Ms MacLennan said.

Museum Public Programs Officer Sally MacLennan works with students during 2024 Science at the Museum session.

"Students get to do a hands-on activity to enhance their learning. This program usually books out, so contact us soon if you'd like to bring your class along to see On the Move and participate in our science workshop led by our experienced educators."

Spots are still available on Monday 11 August and Wednesday 13 August, but are limited.
