ABN Residential has been appointed to develop the Tulloch Way project
The State Government has appointed ABN Residential as the builder to deliver 50 new social and affordable homes as part of an innovative $32.97 million project in Canning Vale.
The housing development will be situated opposite the Nicholson Road METRONET station, making it easier for residents to connect to jobs, services and amenities.
The project will transform 8,569 square metres of under-utilised State-owned land on Tulloch Way into a modern, medium-density housing development providing a mix of 19 townhouses and 31 apartments. This includes one, two and three-bedroom social and affordable rental homes to be managed by a community housing provider.
ABN Residential has been engaged to deliver the homes to Silver Level Livable Housing Australia standards, improving accessibility and allowing homes to adapt to the needs of residents over time.
Located close to public transport, the development will give residents direct access to the Thornlie-Cockburn line, including the Perth CBD in under 30 minutes.
The Tulloch Way project forms part of the State Government's Housing Diversity Pipeline, which is focused on delivering well-located, medium-density housing to meet the needs of people on the public housing waitlist and increase overall housing supply.
Development approval was granted by the Western Australian Planning Commission in February 2025, and detailed design work has now been completed, allowing the project to move to the next stage. Together, these features will help create a modern, connected and more inclusive community for future residents.
Upon completion, the development will receive ongoing availability payments for a period of 25 years through the Federal Government's Housing Australia Future Fund, supporting the long term provision of safe and secure housing.
