COVID-19 Business Impact Support Program Round 2 closes Tuesday 8 March 2022
The second round of the COVID-19 Business Impact Support Program closes at 2pm next Tuesday, 8 March 2022. The program was established to support Tasmanian businesses whose business operations have been impacted due to:
- critical staff being required to isolate or quarantine due to COVID-19, or
- being forced to close due to a Public Health Direction, or
- suffered a significant reduction in demand,
that has resulted in a reduction in turnover due to COVID-19 of 30% or more between 15 January and 14 February 2022 inclusive, compared to the same period in 2021.
Please read the guidelines, FAQ, and apply via SmartyGrants here.
Funding of between $1 000 and $10 000 is available to eligible businesses, depending on business size. Support of up to $5 000 is also available to businesses that experienced an unavoidable loss of perishable goods because they have had to close.
Skills Foundation Builder
A review of Tasmanian industry Workplace Development Plans identified industries needing support with the development of foundation skills in the workplace.
TasTAFE and 26TEN have partnered up to conduct research about foundation skills in the workplace and would love to know about the impact of these skills in businesses and organisations across a wide range of industries. This research will inform the creation of a flexible training tool kit for managers and supervisors, to support 'in house' foundation skill development for workers.
This will assist to:
- Support workplaces to build the skills and knowledge of managers and supervisors to align foundation skills of employees and build workforce capability.
- Design a flexible training tool kit which can be accessed when it suits and minimise disruption to your day-to-day workflow.
