
Local residents and visitors will be able to dive into the Campbelltown Billabong Parklands pools, with a special event to mark the re-opening of the pools over the October long weekend.
On Saturday 3 October and Sunday 4 October, people will be able to enjoy a weekend of family fun, with highlights to include live skate demonstrations and competitions with professional skaters, mobile laser skirmish and face painting.
The October long weekend event will mark the official start of the 2026/27 summer swim season at the Billabong.
"The Campbelltown Billabong Parklands is a vital facility for our community, and the Summer Season Launch is a fantastic way to kick off another exciting summer at the Billabong," Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr Darcy Lound said.
"As the weather continues to heat up, our pools are a popular place to cool off, and it's always wonderful to see families and the community making the most of our leisure centres," Cr Lound said.
"It's important that we offer great swimming experiences for people of all ages, whether they're learning to swim, staying active or simply enjoying time in the water," he said.
After welcoming more than 85,000 visitors to the facility during the last summer swim season, the Billabong is expected to be a hive of activity again over the coming months, with people of activations on offer for people of all ages.
Following the Summer Season Launch, the Campbelltown Billabong Parklands pools will be open to the public from 10am to 6pm daily during October. The opening hours will then be extended from 10am to 7pm from November 2026 to February 2027.
