Canadian Cargo with 5 Student CubeSats to Launch into Space

Longueuil, Quebec, - On , five CubeSats designed and built by Canadian students will launch to the International Space Station:

  • SC-ODIN from Concordia University
  • Iris from the University of Manitoba
  • RADSAT-SK from the University of Saskatchewan
  • ESSENCE from York University
  • Ukpik-1 from Western University

This is the third launch of miniature satellites under the Canadian CubeSat Project (CCP). The teams finalized preparations of their CubeSats in at the Canadian Space Agency (CSA).

This launch will also transport materials required for Canadian experiment CARDIOBREATH, which tracks changes in how astronauts' cardiovascular and respiratory systems control their blood pressure.
