New research in Canterbury has secured $450,000 from Toka Tū Ake EQC to improve their understanding one of the most damaging natural effects of earthquakes - liquefaction.

The three teams from the University of Canterbury will focus on the assessment and mitigation of liquefaction hazards, resilience to earthquake and landslide multi-hazards and next-generation seismic hazard analysis for New Zealand.
