CCTV shows Shane Bowden murder took seconds

Gold Coast and Homicide detectives investigating the murder of Shane Bowden have today released CCTV of his last moments when he was shot and killed at Pimpama on October 12, 2020.

CCTV from the unit complex where Shane was staying shows him driving a black BMW into the garage of a unit. Two offenders, one carrying a long arm firearm, can be seen to run from nearby vacant land and follow Bowden into his garage. Seconds later, having fired 21 rounds from a machine pistol and shotgun, the two offenders run back to the waiting silver commodore being driven by a third offender.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who may know the identity of the two suspects to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Police Link on 131 444.

Earlier this month, the Queensland Government issued a reward of $250 000 for information that leads to the conviction of the person, or persons, found to be responsible for Shane Bowden's murder and an indemnity from prosecution will be recommended for any accomplice, not being the person who actually committed the crime, who first gives such information.
