On July 17, the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) officially launched the MAZU-FengYun Satellite AI Box at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) Meteorological Forum.
Integrating the robust global observation capabilities of China's FENGYUN (FY) meteorological satellites with advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, the new tool delivers an all-in-one satellite application solution for global users, marking another contribution of MAZU-China Intelligent Meteorological Early Warning Solution to enhanceglobal early warning capabilities.
With integrated software and hardware, the Box incorporates core functions, including satellite data reception, AI-driven inference, multi-source data fusion and operational application.Boasting flexible and rapid deployment features, it can adapt to diverse operational scenarios worldwide, covering internet-based access, direct reception via FY satellite ground stations, CMACast access and field emergency response. It enables one-stop closed-loop processing of satellite data acquisition, intelligent analysis and practical meteorological application.
