Coocooboona bore re-launched

Our team have been working hard on the Coocooboona Travelling Stock Reserve (TSR), which is located 10km west of Gunnedah on the highly used Mullaley stock route.

After the previous bore collapsed water has not been available for some time. North West Local Land Services has funded a new bore and associated solar pump to provide much sought water for livestock on this section of the stock route.

Regular water points along the stock route allow livestock to travel safely through the network. Additionally, more water points spreads utilisation by livestock and reduces the risk of overgrazing.

Going forward North West Local Land Services is aiming to complete more windmill to solar conversions on the stock route to reduce operating costs and improve safety outcomes for staff.
