Cypress Gardens and Forest Ridge part of Millmerran fire bushfire

Bushfire warning level: ADVICE

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) advises there is a bushfire in the vicinity of Cypress Gardens and Forest Ridge (Millmerran).

You need to keep up to date and decide what actions you will take if the situation changes.

Currently as at 5.30pm Friday 6 December, a bushfire is smouldering within containment lines in the vicinity of Cypress Avenue, Wallaby Drive, Koala Drive, Paddys Creek Road, Thyme Avenue, Basil Drive, Sage Road, Rosemary Court, Bay Road, Kimberley Drive and the Gore Highway, Cypress Gardens.

The fire has impacted these roads but they have now reopened, and crews are monitoring and maintaining containment lines in the area.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution and to conditions as trees and debris may affect roads in the area. Traffic speed limits and restrictions may be in place for the Gore Highway.

People in the area will be affected by smoke, which will reduce visibility and air quality.

Properties are not under direct threat at this time. Call Triple Zero (000) immediately if you believe you or your property is under threat.

• Listen to your local radio station or visit the Rural Fire Service (RFS) website for regular updates.
