Darwin residents and visitors are invited to explore a world of flavours across the municipality, with City of Darwin's Street Food Program now in full swing.
Featuring more than 30 food vendors serving cuisine from around the globe, the program offers everything from African, Middle Eastern, Nepalese and Taiwanese street food to authentic Italian dishes, Thai favourites, barbecue, seafood, coffee, crepes, churros and desserts.
Lord Mayor Peter Styles said the program plays an important role in strengthening Darwin's reputation as a destination known for its diverse food, culture and outdoor lifestyle.
"The Street Food Program brings life and activity to public spaces across Darwin while supporting local businesses and giving people more opportunities to enjoy our unique outdoor dining experiences," Mr Styles said.
"One of Darwin's greatest strengths is our rich cultural diversity, and the Street Food Program is a fantastic reflection of that.
"Vendors can be found across the municipality, including along the Nightcliff Foreshore, at East Point near Lake Alexander and within the CBD.
"We are also excited to welcome street food vendors to the revitalised Bundilla Beach precinct, offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy great food in a prime waterfront location between the Darwin Ski Club and Darwin Sailing Club.
"Whether you're looking for a sunrise coffee, a quick lunch, dinner by the beach or something sweet while watching Darwin's iconic sunset, there is something for everyone," he said.
The Street Food Program makes it easier than ever for residents and visitors to access convenient, affordable and diverse dining options while supporting local businesses and activating public spaces across the city.
