Driver dies after collision in West Wodonga

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a man died following a collision in West Wodonga earlier this month.

The collision, between a Toyota Hilux and Mazda sedan, occurred at the intersection of Plunketts Road and McKoy Street on Saturday 8 October about 3.15pm.

The driver and passenger of the Mazda were taken to hospital at the time and were treated for their injuries.

Sadly, the 80-year-old driver from Wangaratta, died a few days after he was released from hospital.

The driver of the Hilux, a 68-year-old Barnawartha man, was not injured.

Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and it is expected the driver of the Hilux will be interviewed at a later date.
